We are currently looking for Registered Nurses & Licensed practical nurses to fill an opening in a Skilled Nursing & rehab facility Brooklyn, Harlem, & Queens. Offering long term or short term care. We will also have upcoming orientations in Brooklyn, Bronx, Harlem, Woodmere, White Plains and Far Rockaway NY. The nursing home mission is to provide the community with the finest rehabilitation and skilled nursing services anywhere. Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse: Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families supervising assigned team members. Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand care requirements. Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families. Promotes patient's independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills; answering questions. Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following hospital and nursing division's philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations. Resolves patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; calling for assistance from health care support personnel. Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations Qualifications of the Registered Nurse: Unexpired US Passport,Permanent Resident Card,Driver's License/ID or Work permit RN license and registration Current physical examination (must include vital signs, influenza documentation and MMR titres) Social Security Card CPR certification Malpractice Insurance Two Reference letter (one professional and one personal)Resume Licensed Practical Nurse Job-Specific Duties The standard duties of the LPN there are, Managing IVs Ensuring patients and their families understand release instructions Supervising CNAs (Certified Nursing Assistants) Monitoring fluid and food intake and output Moving patients safely Qualifications of the Licensed Practical Nurse: Valid NY state license and certification Proof of residency SS card Physical with Labs (Influenza documentation) Reference letters (Professional and personal) Resume. CPR Malpractice insurance CNA Job Description: CNAs assist patients with daily activities and while some CNAs have additional responsibilities, such as administering medication, the core functions on the job include: Bathe and dress patients Serve meals and help patients eat Take vital signs Turn or reposition patients who are bedridden Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses and doctors Provide and empty bedpans Lift patients into beds, wheelchairs, exam tables, etc. Answer patient calls Examine patients for bruises, blood in urine or other injuries/wounds Clean and sanitize patient areas Change bed sheets and restock rooms with necessary supplies CNAs also serve as a conduit between patients and nurses and doctors and record and communicate all issues to medical staff. Depending on where a CNA works, other duties might include transporting patients to operating rooms or treatment units and setting up equipment at a nurse or doctor's request. Aspiring CNAs should understand the job isn't glamorous and can be graphic at times. From dressing wounds to cleaning a patient after an accident, CNAs are often put to the test on a daily basis.
